Devlog #2: End of the Prototyping
Hello! Welcome back to another update for Split My Ride.
This week we'll be talking about our finished prototype! The programmers have been working hard on the core mechanics and it's finally the artists turn to make it look and feel fun.
ART
The artists will have to completely finish the Art Bible. The demo will have an early look of what our car model will look like. Other cars will be added in the upcoming weeks, so look forward to that!
We'll also have an early look of what the HUD will look like in the Art Bible. It's mostly designing if we want it to look less busy, maybe have a simple look so that the players will mainly focus on what they do instead of what they see around the screen.
CODING
The programmers have been working hard on finishing the core mechanics and tweaking the players' movement. We have also moved the camera slighty lower, having to see more of the horizon. The mechanic of "merging together" has also been working perfectly. We have also added more enemies like the Mortar Strikes. You can try the demo down below!
